The Bachelor Final Project makes it possible for students to design something for a company. This projects company was 'De Dakdokters', a company specialized in rooftop gardens and water storage.

Rainwater is a big problem in some world cities. During rain season, 2/3 of Ho Chi Minh City is flooded. The rainwater destroys houses, roads and lives.

The typical Vietnamese Townhouses are perfect for these roof top gardens. Because of the small width and long length, the rooftops can carry a lot of weight. Rice plants need lots of water to grow. An innovative way of  cultivation in Vietnam is to grow rice plants together with  culturing shrimps. The waste of the shrimps is nutrition for the plants and the other way around.  This way the rooftops become an agricultural fauna with around 68% of the rainwater processed on the roof.
